Aanya’s Switzerland Trip with Thrillophilia: A Glimpse of the Alps and Memories for a Lifetime

Aanya’s Switzerland Trip with Thrillophilia: A Glimpse of the Alps and Memories for a Lifetime

Last year, Aanya travelled to Dubai with Thrillophilia, and that trip left such a lasting impression that she knew she would travel with them again. This year, when she planned a Switzerland holiday with her two closest friends, she didn’t have to think twice about where to book. She went straight to Thrillophilia’s website and started browsing through their Switzerland tour packages.

The options were plenty. To make the choice easier, Aanya decided to focus on the packages that had the best reviews. After a week of discussions, research, and excitement, the trio finalised the Glimpse of Switzerland package for six days and five nights. To confirm the details, Aanya sent an inquiry and was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from a Thrillophilia representative within a few hours. The agent was polite and patient, asking a few simple questions while also answering all her doubts about the itinerary, hotels, and travel plans. By the end of the conversation, she was completely confident in her choice.

With everything finalised, the only things left were booking their flights and packing their bags for an adventure they had been dreaming of for months.

Glimpse of Switzerland

Their journey began at Zurich Airport. It took nearly two hours to complete the immigration formalities, but the moment they stepped out, their excitement returned. A driver was already waiting outside with a placard, ready to take them to their hotel.

The hotel turned out to be far better than expected. Their room was large, bright, and stylish, with a round bed placed right in the center. The attached dressing area and the bathtub added a touch of luxury. But what truly made the room special was the massive glass window that offered a breathtaking view of the city.

Since their first day was at leisure, they decided to start slow. They spent the afternoon enjoying a spa and sauna session at the hotel, followed by a stroll through the local neighborhood in the evening. Zurich looked even more beautiful than in the pictures. The three friends explored the local market, sampled street food, and walked along the streets as the city lights reflected on the pavements.

The next morning began early with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. The plan for the day was to visit Mount Titlis, one of the most famous and scenic destinations in Switzerland. The journey to the mountain was an experience in itself. They took a train from Zurich to Lucerne, then another to Engelberg, followed by a short bus ride to Titlisbahn. From there, they boarded the Rotair Cable Car, the world’s first revolving cable car that takes you to the top at an altitude of over 3,000 metres.

The views along the way were absolutely magical. Snowy peaks sparkled in the sun, and the vast landscapes looked like something out of a painting. When they reached the summit, the sight took their breath away. The air was crisp, and the snow shimmered under the bright sky. They took countless photos to capture the moment and spent time just standing there, soaking in the beauty of the Alps.

On their way back, they stopped at Lucerne to visit two iconic landmarks: the Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument. The city’s charm, combined with its history, made it one of the most memorable parts of their trip. They returned to Zurich late that night, tired but happy.

The third day was dedicated to exploring Zurich itself. Their sightseeing began with visits to Rapperswil Castle, Lake Zurich, the Swiss National Museum, and St Peter’s Church. As confessed chocolate lovers, they could not miss the Lindt Home of Chocolate. It was a dream come true for them. They spent hours tasting different varieties, learning about chocolate-making, and buying boxes to take home as souvenirs.

On the fourth day, the group travelled to Rhine Falls, one of Europe’s largest and most powerful waterfalls. They took a direct train from Zurich to Schaffhausen, and from there, it was a short walk to the falls. The roaring sound of water filled the air long before they saw it. There were three main viewpoints: Belvedere, Kanzeli, and Fischnetz, and they explored each one. The highlight was the boat ride that took them close to the falls, where they could feel the mist on their faces. It was an incredible experience and one that left them speechless.

Their fifth day began with a trip to Uetliberg, a mountain that offers panoramic views of Zurich and the distant Alps. The climb was peaceful, and from the top, they could see the entire city spread below like a miniature model. Later, they visited the Zurich Zoo, home to more than 400 species of animals. They saw kangaroos, elephants, zebras, rhinos, parrots, and many other animals. It was a fun and relaxing visit after days of exploring.

Before returning to the hotel, they spent the evening shopping on the Bahnhofstrasse, one of the most popular streets in Zurich. The area was lively, filled with cafés, boutiques, and international brands. They ended their day with dinner at an open-air restaurant, where they enjoyed good food and talked about the unforgettable week they had shared.

The next morning came too soon. They packed their bags, completed the check-out, and met their driver outside the hotel. The drive to the airport was quiet, as everyone looked out of the window, trying to take in the last glimpses of the beautiful Swiss scenery.

A Truly Memorable Trip

Looking back, Aanya feels that choosing Thrillophilia again was the best decision she could have made. Every part of the trip, from the smooth planning process to the punctual transfers and comfortable stays, was handled with care and professionalism. The itinerary had a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences.

Her only regret was that six days felt too short for a country as beautiful as Switzerland. There was so much more to explore and so many places still left to see. But that only means one thing—she will definitely be returning, and once again, she knows exactly who she will book her trip with.

Thrillophilia helped turn her Switzerland dream into reality, creating memories that she and her friends will cherish forever. And as Aanya says, “It wasn’t just a holiday; it was an experience I’ll never forget, all thanks to Thrillophilia.”
