Aparna, Anagha & Sreelatha’s Thailand Family Getaway with Thrillophilia
A Trip That Began with a Simple Idea
When Aparna first suggested a mother-daughter escape to Thailand, she expected mild resistance, a few raised eyebrows, and perhaps one dramatic sigh from her mother, Sreelatha. Instead, Sreelatha packed faster than both daughters combined and declared she was finally ready for an international trip that didn’t involve relatives, weddings, or emergency shopping. The youngest, Anagha, happily joined in, excited for five days of beaches, food, and a break from work.
What none of them expected was how seamlessly the trip would come together. From the moment Aswin from Thrillophilia started planning their itinerary, the trio felt they were in reliable hands. And by the time they boarded their flight, they had already begun teasing each other about who would eat the most, who would shop the most, and who would fall asleep first in the car transfers.
Touchdown in Bangkok and a Smooth Ride to Pattaya
Their journey started on 31 December, and even the airport felt festive. A private sedan was waiting for them outside Suvarnabhumi Airport, and Aparna later joked that it was the first time she saw her mother trust an unfamiliar driver without asking ten questions about the route.
The ride to Pattaya was comfortable, giving them a chance to settle in, laugh over small observations, and argue about room-sharing arrangements for the next two nights at Citrus Grande Hotel. The check-in process was quick, and the hotel’s warmth instantly made them feel at home.
Once settled, the three made their way to the much-recommended Alcazar Cabaret Show. It was the kind of experience where even the usually composed Sreelatha couldn’t stop smiling. The performances were energetic, dramatic, and colourful and had just the right amount of flair to keep them entertained. It became their first shared highlight and set the tone for the rest of the holiday.
A New Year’s Day at Coral Island

Their first morning of 2025 began with excitement. A shared transfer whisked them off to the pier, and soon they were speeding across the water toward Coral Island. The cool breeze, the blue waters, and the cheerful crowd put everyone in a good mood.
Anagha, the adventurous one, was ready for everything from parasailing to beach hopping. Aparna was focused on taking pictures of everyone, especially of her mother, who seemed to have discovered new reserves of energy. And Sreelatha enjoyed every moment of it, occasionally insisting she wasn’t tired even when both daughters knew otherwise.
Throughout the day, the trio found themselves slipping into a relaxed rhythm — exploring, chatting, eating, and simply enjoying the fact that they were far away from routine. The transfers were smooth, the arrangements were spotless, and by the time they returned to Pattaya, they agreed that it was a New Year’s Day they would always remember.
Onward to Bangkok and an Afternoon of Temples and City Views

The next morning, a private sedan took them to Bangkok. The transition between cities was effortless, and their hotel, Arawana Regency Park Sukhumvit, welcomed them with another comfortable check-in.
Later in the afternoon, they joined a shared city tour. Wat Traimit impressed them with its golden interiors and calm surroundings, while Wat Mahapruttaram added a sense of cultural depth. At Gems Gallery, they found themselves quietly admiring the artistry, though not without laughing over who among them might secretly be tempted to buy something sparkly.
The entire day flowed smoothly, and all three appreciated how organised everything felt. There were no sudden delays, no confusion, and no struggle with transportation. Everything simply worked.
A Day of Fun at Safari World and Marine Park

The next morning took them to Safari World and Marine Park, where they spent hours watching shows, spotting animals, and enjoying the cheerful crowd around them. The Elephant Show made them laugh, the Spy War performance surprised them with its energy, and the Dolphin Show quickly became Sreelatha’s favourite part of the day.
The open safari ride felt like a small adventure. Anagha filmed every moment, Aparna narrated everything like a nature documentarian, and Sreelatha offered her own commentary about which animal looked the most majestic. It was a day full of shared jokes and small discoveries.
Lunch was well arranged, and the entire experience reminded them of their earlier vacation to Europe, smooth, organised, and thoughtfully planned. In fact, they found themselves comparing the two trips throughout the day and realising how consistently reliable Thrillophilia had been for their family.
The Journey Home
On 4 January, their sedan arrived at the hotel right on time for the drop-off at Suvarnabhumi Airport. It was one of those rides where everyone felt quietly content. The trip had unfolded exactly as they hoped — comfortable hotels, dependable transfers, homely food as promised, and a team in Thailand that remained supportive throughout.
What stood out most was how effortless the entire experience had been. From customising the itinerary to their final goodbye at the airport, they didn’t face a single issue. It was an uninterrupted, happy family holiday, the kind that becomes part of family conversations for years.
A Trip That Strengthened Bonds
For Aparna, Anagha, and Sreelatha, this wasn’t just a visit to Thailand. It was a shared journey filled with inside jokes, new memories, and a renewed appreciation for travelling together. They returned home grateful, amused by their own antics, and already discussing where Thrillophilia might take them next.
And just like that, their second international family holiday became another treasured chapter — warm, smooth, and memorable from start to finish.
