From Dreams to Destinations: Ashish’s Review for a Trip to Thailand
Ashish believed that with each trip, a bucket list grows shorter and the heart grows fuller.
It was funny how vacations sometimes get planned. One weekend, Ashish was cleaning the house when he discovered some old magazines. Within one of them, he found a piece of paper titled “Our Bucket List”.
The list included various dreams and travel destinations, including Thailand. Ashish called his partner over to show her the discovery.
He exclaimed, “Hey, look! There's Thailand! You were so determined for it to be our first travel spot, remember?”
She replied, “Yes, but I no longer want it to be there. I want to strike it off the list ASAP. Would you help me with that?”
They shared a smile, realising how long it had been since they first dreamt about the trip. Together, they were determined to dive into a new adventure and strike Thailand off their bucket list.
Through Temples and Treasures
Just a week ago, they were at home thinking about the fun they would have in Thailand. Now, they were there, ready to tick off adventures from their bucket list.
The trip began with a sightseeing tour of Bangkok.
The first stop was Wat Traimit, where they admired the stunning Golden Buddha. Stepping inside the temple, they were engulfed in a wave of serenity. Both felt immersed in the religious site like never before.
Surrounded by visitors, they experienced a deep connection with something much larger. The intricate details and historical significance left them awestruck.
Next, they visited Wat Benchamabophit, also known as the Marble Temple. The white marble architecture blended European and Thai styles and was mesmerising. The calm ambiance, paired with the sounds of monks chanting, created a mystical aura. They wandered across the temple grounds, exploring statues and gardens while taking in the spiritual vibes.
After visiting the spiritual sites, they went to the Gems Gallery. The wide array of gemstones provided a visual treat, and each gem sparked curiosity about the stories behind them. Finally, they visited King Power for a luxury shopping experience, exploring numerous brands and authentic Thai souvenirs at incredible discounts.
A Longtail Boat Adventure
The Krabi 4 Island Tour on a Longtail Boat was the most thrilling activity for Ashish. They woke up early, excited to reach the pier as the landscapes glowed in sunrise colours.
They boarded the longtail boat and glided over crystal-clear waters to the first stop, Koh Poda Island. Snorkelling in turquoise waters surrounded by colourful marine life felt like stepping into a fantasy world.
The next stop was Chicken Island, literally shaped like a chicken from a distance. Ko Tup Island and Phra Nang Cave Beach offered white sands, clear waters, and stunning natural beauty. Walking along the coast, they enjoyed the breathtaking views and peaceful ambiance.
As the sun set, turning the sky from blue to orange, Ashish realised this day would always hold a special place in his heart.
From Big Buddhas to Fantasy Shows
Their adventures continued with the Maya Bay and Phi Phi Island Tour. Zooming across sparkling waves in a speedboat set their hearts racing. The breathtaking views included lush green landscapes and towering cliffs in turquoise waters.
Maya Bay captivated them with crystal-clear waters, soft sands, stunning cliffs, and vibrant marine life.
After the island tour, they visited the Big Buddha, an impressive statue over 140 feet tall. The visit prompted reflection on life and the journey ahead. They also enjoyed a relaxing walk in the surrounding gardens, appreciating the peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of Phuket.
Although they had covered most of their planned destinations, something was missing. Ashish’s partner suggested a visit to the Old Town.
There, they explored vibrant streets filled with art and culture and tried local snacks like Sheet Seaweed and Som Tam from street vendors.
Finally, attending the Phuket Fantasea Show provided the perfect ending to their adventures. The performances brilliantly combined entertainment and tradition.
The Thailand trip allowed Ashish and his partner to strike off one destination from their bucket list. Their adventure blended stunning landscapes, cultural experiences, and spiritual moments, making it an unforgettable journey.
