When Love Met the Skyline: Debasis & His Wife’s Honeymoon Journey to Singapore with Thrillophilia
They say the first trip after the wedding sets the tone for the journeys to come.
For Debasis and his wife, Singapore wasn’t just a destination – it was their first shared adventure, their first chapter as travel partners.
And what a start it was!
“When we were choosing our honeymoon destination,” Debasis recalls, “we wanted something that was both modern and relaxing. A mix of culture, fun, and comfort – and Singapore had it all.”
With Thrillophilia’s Singapore tour package, the couple set off on an eight-day escapade filled with beautiful sights, long walks, late-night conversations, and those quiet moments that only a honeymoon can bring.
The City That Glows – First Impressions of Singapore
Landing in Singapore felt like stepping into a postcard. Everything was clean, organised, and so alive.
“From the airport itself, we could tell we were somewhere special,” says Debasis. “Changi wasn’t just an airport; it was an experience – art installations, lush gardens, even a waterfall! We spent hours there before even heading to the hotel.”
Their hotel overlooked the shimmering skyline, with Marina Bay Sands standing tall like a crown jewel in the distance. Every night, the city glowed a little differently, from the light show at the bay to the neon-lit streets of Clarke Quay.
“It felt like the city never slept,” Debasis laughs. “But even in its energy, there was this beautiful calm. Everything ran like clockwork.”
Gardens, Skywalks, and a Touch of Magic

If there’s one place that captures the spirit of Singapore, it’s Gardens by the Bay.
Walking beneath those towering Supertrees was like stepping into a sci-fi dreamscape. “We went in the evening, just before the light show,” says Debasis. “And when the music began and the trees lit up – it was pure magic.”
They spent hours strolling through the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, marvelling at how nature and technology danced together so seamlessly. “You realise why Singapore is called a ‘City in a Garden’,” he adds. “It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and just… breathe.”
The SkyPark Observation Deck was another favourite – standing high above the city, watching the sunset melt into the skyline. “That view stays with you,” Debasis admits. “We didn’t talk much up there, we just watched the city light up, hand in hand.”
A Day of Thrills and Laughter at Sentosa Island
No Singapore holiday is complete without Sentosa – and for Debasis and his wife, it was pure joy from start to finish!
The island was a playground of possibilities. From the SEA Aquarium’s mesmerising marine life to the Cable Car ride with panoramic views, every moment felt like a new adventure.
And then came Universal Studios Singapore - their absolute highlight!
“We’re both kids at heart,” he grins. “So, once we stepped inside Universal, we forgot everything else. The Transformers ride blew our minds, and don’t even get me started on the Battlestar Galactica roller coaster – my wife screamed the whole way through!”
Between rides, they snacked on popcorn, posed with Minions, and bought matching caps from the souvenir shop. “By the end of the day, we were exhausted but so happy. It felt like we had relived our childhoods - together.”
Little India, Chinatown & Arab Street – A Cultural Kaleidoscope

Beyond the glitter and glass, what struck Debasis most was Singapore’s beautiful blend of cultures.
Every neighbourhood told a different story. In Little India, they found colour, chaos, and comfort – from temples bursting with marigolds to the irresistible aroma of dosas and biryanis. “It felt like a slice of home,” Debasis says warmly.
In Chinatown, the couple explored ancient temples tucked between trendy cafés and boutiques. “It was fascinating – one street would smell of incense, the next of coffee,” he laughs.
And Arab Street? A complete change of pace – elegant fabrics, intricate lamps, and the stunning Sultan Mosque glowing under the sun. “It was so photogenic that we ended up spending more time taking pictures than we planned.”
A Cruise to Remember… and a Dinner Under the Stars

The couple’s trip wasn’t just about sightseeing – it was about slowing down, too.
One of their most cherished memories was the sunset cruise along the Singapore River. “Watching the city reflect on the water while the sky turned pink – it was the most romantic evening of our trip,” Debasis says softly. “That, and the dinner under the stars later that night.”
Their hotel had arranged a special rooftop dinner with candlelight and champagne – a perfect surprise for the newlyweds. “We talked for hours about everything – our trip, our life ahead, and how this week felt like a dream we didn’t want to wake up from.”
Smooth Travels, Zero Stress
Planning a honeymoon can be stressful, but Debasis insists that this one wasn’t.
“Everything, from airport transfers to local tours, was so well managed,” he says. “Our coordinator, Abhinav, was always available on WhatsApp. Whether it was clarifying pickup times or recommending where to eat, he was just a message away.”
He adds with a smile, “Usually when you’re in a new country, you worry about something or the other - but here, we just enjoyed ourselves. Thrillophilia handled the rest.”
Even small details stood out – seamless check-ins, private transfers, friendly guides, and well-timed activities. “It was effortless travel,” Debasis concludes. “And that’s rare.”
Reflections – A Trip That Became a Memory for Life
Looking back, Debasis calls this trip more than just a vacation.
“It was our story in motion,” he says. “Every place we visited added a page, from laughing at silly selfies in Sentosa to standing silently at Marina Bay, lost in the view. Singapore gave us moments we’ll keep revisiting.”
For him and his wife, the trip symbolised more than travel – it was connection, exploration, and shared wonder.
“Thrillophilia didn’t just plan our honeymoon,” Debasis says finally, “they helped us begin our journey as a couple – the way it should be: full of joy, ease, and a little bit of magic.”
