A Dream Escape to the Alps: Mohit’s Switzerland Experience with Thrillophilia

A Warm Welcome in Zurich
Mohit’s Switzerland journey began in the lively city of Zurich, where he checked into Novotel Zurich Airport Messe. After a long flight, the spacious room and soft lighting felt comforting, allowing him to settle into the European rhythm.
He took a slow walk through the city, exploring the charming streets and the peaceful banks of the Limmat River. Cafés with the smell of fresh pastries drew him in, and he found himself sipping a hot drink while watching locals pass by on bicycles.
Zurich felt like the perfect beginning. Calm, friendly, and full of small pockets of beauty.
Interlaken: A Dream Come True
When Mohit reached Interlaken, he felt like he had stepped straight into a postcard. The green valleys, blue lakes, and snow peaks surrounding the town looked unreal.
His stay at Chalet Swiss became one of the most memorable parts of the trip. The hotel offered a beautiful view of the mountains — something Mohit admired the moment he opened the balcony door.
“This is what I came for,” he whispered as he watched the Alps glowing under the afternoon sun.
Every morning, he enjoyed his breakfast while looking at the beautiful scenery, feeling grateful for the quiet joy that Interlaken offered.
Journey to Mt Titlis: Eternal Snow and Thrilling Views
On 8 June 2022, Mohit left early for Mt Titlis. The journey itself, through scenic routes covered by his Swiss Travel Pass, felt like a moving painting.
When he reached the summit, standing at 3020 metres, he felt the rush of cold air against his face. The snowy ground stretched endlessly, sparkling under the sunlight.
He walked across the Titlis Cliff Walk, admiring the breathtaking views. He laughed as he played with snow like a child, unable to believe he was finally here.
“This is truly the land of eternal snow,” he thought.
Jungfraujoch: Top of Europe
Two days later, on 10 June 2022, Mohit boarded the train to Jungfraujoch; a ride many travellers consider the best in the world.
The journey climbed slowly through pretty villages, meadows, and glaciers. Mohit kept his eyes glued to the window, mesmerized by the views changing every minute.
When he stepped out at the “Top of Europe”, it felt surreal. The Ice Palace amazed him with its shining sculptures, and he stood quietly for a moment, breathing in the icy air and taking in the vast glacier views.
“This feels like standing on the roof of the world,” he said softly to himself.
Zurich, Once Again
Mohit spent his final night back at Novotel Zurich Airport Messe, relaxing and thinking about his journey. Only breakfast was included in his plan, but he loved exploring cafés and bakeries on his own; it made his experience feel more personal.
The Swiss Travel Pass made travelling effortless, and he appreciated how smoothly everything had been arranged.
