Murali’s Thrilling Anniversary Trip Through Japan with Thrillophilia
Japan had always been on Murali’s travel bucket list and in June 2024, this dream finally became a reality when he and his wife embarked on a memorable anniversary trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.
And all the credit goes to Thrillophilia!
Murali landed upon Thrillophilia’s website while browsing the internet for the perfect travel agency to help plan their Japan trip. They knew the importance of detailed planning, especially for a country like Japan where the language, culture, and transportation could pose challenges for first-time visitors. After reaching out, he was impressed by how fast Mr. Tushar from Thrillophilia responded.
From that first conversation, Murali felt confident that they were in great hands. Tushar put together a fantastic itinerary that covered three of the most iconic cities in Japan: Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Once the rough plan was set, Murali was introduced to Mr. Rahul Raj Tripathi, who would be their dedicated travel coordinator.
Rahul left no stone unturned as he provided route maps, coordinated airport pickups, and even made sure that the couple was well-prepared for every experience. This trip was about to exceed all their expectations, and Murali could feel the excitement bubbling up as their departure day drew closer.
The Adventure Begins
Murali’s adventure kicked off in Tokyo, and what a start it was!
From the bustling streets of Shibuya to the peaceful gardens of Ueno Park, Tokyo was an exciting mix of old and new. The couple was amazed to see the futuristic skyline of Shinjuku before finding serenity in the quiet and sacred spaces of the Meiji Shrine. The energy of the city was contagious with bright neon signs, high-speed trains, and busy streets teeming with life.
Moving forward, they navigated the intricate train system of Tokyo with ease. The famous Shibuya Crossing, the traditional Asakusa Temple, and the awe-inspiring Tokyo Skytree were all part of their itinerary. Every moment spent in these destinations was absolutely magical, and yet there was so much more to come!
After Tokyo, Mr. and Mrs. Murali travelled to Kyoto, which felt like stepping into a postcard from ancient Japan. Famous for its temples, shrines, and tranquil gardens, Kyoto offered the couple a completely different side of the country. Walking through the famous red torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine felt unreal. The winding pathways seemed endless, with every turn revealing a new photo-worthy view. Murali’s partner could not stop snapping pictures, while Murali was awestruck by the peaceful atmosphere.
They also saw the spectacular Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji) and the sprawling Nijo Castle. Rahul had ensured that they experienced the best attractions of Kyoto without feeling rushed. Each day, Murali would get a call from Rahul to check in if everything was running smoothly. It felt like having a personal guide by their side, even though they were free to explore on their own.
The next destination on their itinerary was Osaka, a city that immediately stole their hearts with its vibrant atmosphere and incredible food scene. Since it was known as the ‘Kitchen of Japan’, Osaka was the place to indulge in local delicacies, and Murali made sure to try it all!
From mouth-watering takoyaki (octopus balls) to the famous okonomiyaki (savoury pancakes), every bite was just wow.
With the giant neon lights and street food stalls, they found the lively streets of Dotonbori to be buzzing with energy. Murali and his wife wandered around while soaking up the electric atmosphere and indulging in the famous food of the city.
Rahul had arranged a visit to Osaka Castle for them. The contrast between old and new in Japan was one of the things that fascinated Murali the most. One moment they were marvelling at centuries-old architecture, and the next they were zooming up the Umeda Sky Building for a panoramic view of the city.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Thrillophilia!
Everywhere they went, the couple met people with kindness and warm hospitality. The locals were some of the friendliest they had ever encountered, always going out of their way to help.
What really made this trip special though was the incredible service from Thrillophilia. Rahul’s daily check-ins and round-the-clock availability made Murali’s experience stress-free and seamless. Even the smallest details, like providing route maps and coordinating travel times, were handled with care. Murali had never experienced such a high level of dedication from a travel coordinator before.
By the end of the trip, Murali and his wife had fallen head over heels for Japan. The country’s beauty, culture, and people had left a lasting impression, and they knew this would not be their last visit. Murali was looking forward to booking their next adventure with Thrillophilia.
For anyone considering a trip abroad, Murali’s advice was simple: contact Thrillophilia. Their service exceeded every expectation, and their dedication made all the difference.
