A Journey of Joy: Preethi’s Singapore Adventure with Thrillophilia

A Journey of Joy: Preethi’s Singapore Adventure with Thrillophilia

Last summer, while we were casually discussing vacation ideas over dinner, my daughter suddenly brought up Singapore.

Little did we know that this impromptu discussion would lead to some of the most unexpected surprises, laughter-filled days, and moments that brought us all closer together as a family. The memories we made on this trip will always make me smile every time I think about them.

Our Sweet Adventure

Our trip started with the Time Capsule by the Singapore Flyer, and it was a blast! We stepped into this cool time-travel adventure where we felt like we were hopping through different eras. My daughter loved the interactive displays, especially the part where she could see how Singapore evolved over time. My parents were especially amazed at the kind of experiences technology is offering today and how simple their times were!

After our time-travelling fun, we headed to the Museum of Ice Cream, which was as sweet as it sounds.

We got to dive into a pool of fake sprinkles, which made for some hilarious photos and boomerangs. The giant ice cream sculptures and colourful rooms were like stepping into a puppy’s dream!

My daughter and her grandfather’s favourite part was tasting all sorts of ice creams and ensuring none were left! We ended the day with big smiles and full hearts, having had a day packed with fun, laughter, and tasty treats!

A Day Full of Fun and Thrill
Our real adventure kicked off with a fun-filled day at Universal Studios Singapore. We especially went there for the Battlestar Galactica roller coaster! Before leaving for the trip my parents were quite hesitant about the ride, but my daughter was quite convincing!

But when we were actually at the door, it was me who needed convincing!

My parents loved the Ancient Egypt zone and my baby was just overjoyed in Hollywood Boulevard after meeting her favourite- Shrek.

After completing the studio we left for the famous Singapore Night Safari by a tram in style. They had more than 2500 animals across 130 species! We saw all kinds of animals and even some that we had never heard of- the Malayan tapirs, Fishing cats and Binturongs.

We also saw the show  “Creatures of the Night”. It had owls, snakes, and binturongs showcasing their survival skills in the night.

Ticket Troubles to Waterpark Fun
Adventure Cove day started with total chaos!

Since we went for the night safari all of us woke up quite late! We took this beautiful cable car to Sentosa Island. But when we went to the ticket checkpoint for the waterpark, the person said there was some glitch with our tickets and we couldn’t go through!

I immediately called Mansi, my trip planner and she assured me a positive solution and asked me to wait for some time. Within 20 minutes Devansh from Thrillophilia support shared a new copy of the ticket. Turns out that there was some issue with my printed copy and the digital ticket worked just fine!

After all the confusion, our day was as smooth as butter! We first tried snorkelling at Rainbow Reef. The water was clear, and we saw colourful fish swimming all around us. My daughter couldn’t stop talking about seeing so many beautiful fish up close! My dad’s favourite was the Adventure River as it was very sunny and relaxing as we floated down. This park was a blast and we just giggled our entire day!

To top off the day, we watched the Wings of Time show on Sentosa Beach. The light and water display was incredible, with fireworks lighting up the night sky. It was the perfect end to our day of fun and adventure!

A Dream Come True in the City Wonders
Next up in our favourites was the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, where the view from above made us feel like we were floating on top of the world. My mom couldn't stop snapping pictures, and my daughter kept pointing out landmarks like Singapore Flyer and Merlion Park. It felt like we were floating above the city!

We then also went to the Flower Dome and as we entered, it felt like stepping into a dream. There was a special Tulip Mania event as it was May, and the colours were simply beautiful! My daughter loved running through the rows of orchids, and my dad said it reminded him of the beautiful gardens in Kashmir. The mix of flowers from all over the world made us feel like we were travelling without even leaving the city.

And then, we headed to the HIGHLIGHT of our trip, a dream come true…

So, a few years ago my daughter asked me, “Mumma, is this place real or from the computer?” and I replied, “Well let's find out?”. After surfing on the internet we found out that the place on her notebook cover was indeed a real place, called, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. She then asked, “Can we go here someday?” and I nodded and there we were, a couple of years later at the beautiful Gardens by the Bay.

The SuperTree Grove was like something out of a sci-fi movie with its giant and glowing trees. It was a day filled with wonder and joy, showing us just how contrasting Singapore can be.

Cheers to the backstage team- Thrillophilia!
Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without the amazing team at Thrillophilia.

My daughter had a long list of things she wanted to do, but they were scattered across 3-4 different Singapore packages. I was worried it would be too late to customize it, but Anamika and Gautham Soni who made my itinerary didn’t hesitate. They gladly made changes to fit everything in, even though it was all happening at the last minute. Mansi and Devansh were with us every step of the way, always ready to help with any questions or concerns.

We could truly relax and enjoy each moment of our Singapore trip. This memory is something that I will cherish forever and  I’m incredibly thankful for how they made our vacation so special.
