From Waves to Wonders: Renish’s Family Journey Across Malaysia and Singapore With Thrillophilia

For Renish, his wife, and their two kids, this trip was long overdue - a proper family escape where everyone could relax, laugh, and experience something new together. After browsing multiple options, they finally locked in a cruise from Singapore covering Malaysia with Thrillophilia, and from the very first day, it felt like they’d made the right choice.

“We just wanted something different - a trip where we could slow down and spend time as a family,” Renish shared. “The moment we boarded the cruise, we knew it was going to be special.”

The cruise itself was stunning - sparkling blue seas, wide decks, and that indescribable calm of being far away from everything familiar. The kids couldn’t get enough of the open views and onboard shows, while Renish and his wife found joy in simply watching sunsets over the ocean, cups of coffee in hand.

Shores of Malaysia: Exploring Beyond the Cruise

During the three magical days at sea, the cruise docked at Penang and Kuala Lumpur, giving the family a taste of Malaysia’s beauty and charm.

While the cruise offered shore excursions, Renish decided to take the local route. “We just stepped out of the port, and local taxis were right there - much cheaper than the cruise packages if you bargain a little,” he said with a smile.

That spontaneous decision turned into one of the best parts of the trip. The family wandered through Penang’s lively streets, enjoyed local snacks, and admired the blend of old temples and colonial architecture. In Kuala Lumpur, they visited some of the city’s top attractions - from vibrant street markets to the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers, which left the kids wide-eyed.

“Malaysia surprised us,” Renish’s wife said. “It’s colourful, kind, and full of life. Every corner had something interesting.”

By the end of those three days, they had ticked off almost every major sight in Malaysia - without rushing, without stress, just pure enjoyment.

Singapore: Fun, Lights & Family Adventures

After the cruise, they arrived in Singapore, refreshed and excited for the next leg of their journey. And this time, it was all about fun.

Their first stop - Universal Studios Singapore - was an instant hit, especially for Renish’s son, who couldn’t get enough of the Jurassic Park rides. “His face after that water ride was priceless,” Renish laughed. “We were all soaked, but it was worth every second.”

Next came the Gardens by the Bay, where the Flower Dome and Supertree Grove completely mesmerised the family. “It’s like walking into a fairy tale,” his wife said, recalling the illuminated trees that glowed against the night sky.

However, not everything lived up to expectations - the Night Safari, though famous, didn’t quite click with them. “It was okay, but not as thrilling as we’d imagined,” Renish admitted honestly. “Maybe because Universal Studios had already set the bar so high!”

Saying Goodbye at the Jewel of Singapore

Their final stop before flying home was Jewel Changi Airport - a destination in itself. With its lush indoor forest, stunning Rain Vortex waterfall, and beautifully designed walkways, it was the perfect ending to a spectacular trip.

The family deposited their luggage and spent five leisurely hours exploring Jewel, clicking photos, tasting desserts, and watching the waterfall show. The airport even offered free strollers, making things easier for the kids.

“It’s rare to find an airport that makes you want to miss your flight,” Renish joked. “Jewel was that kind of place.”

A Thank You That Comes Straight from the Heart

Renish couldn’t stop praising Thrillophilia for making the entire journey so seamless - from the airport pickups to the cruise check-ins, hotel stays, and local transfers. Everything ran smoothly, and there was always someone available to guide or assist when needed.

“Travelling with two kids can be hectic, but Thrillophilia’s team made it feel effortless,” he said. “Their support throughout the trip made us completely tension-free.”

Every moment, from the waves in Malaysia to the lights of Singapore, carried a touch of care and planning that made it all flow perfectly.

“It wasn’t just a trip,” Renish added. “It was a reminder of how beautiful travel can be when someone else takes care of all the details, and all you have to do is enjoy it.”

With unforgettable memories, hundreds of photos, and two very happy kids, the family returned home already planning their next adventure - and as Renish put it with a smile:

“Next time, we’re not searching. We’re booking straight through Thrillophilia again.”
