Love in Paradise: Sai’s Magical Bali Trip with Thrillophilia

We had selected the perfect destination for our honeymoon- Bali.

Why Bali? Firstly, because we wanted a place to celebrate our love that would be as beautiful as our wedding. Secondly, because Bali is the topmost honeymoon destination where you have gorgeous beaches, mountains and plenty of fun activities for the couples.

Lastly, because my wife had chosen it for us.

So, after being so invested in the wedding, planning a trip to Bali felt like a huge task. Instead, I thought of booking a package from Thrillophilia, knowing well that they will take care of everything for me.

Before the trip, my wife requested me to take her shopping. One of the many reasons why I fell in love with her was this. She is not into expensive stuff and loves shopping from local bazaars. On the contrary, after she came into my life she taught me how to save money- what a lucky man I am!

Also, I love when her eyes start sparkling whenever she gets excited. For example, when I took her to Sarojini Nagar, she got so excited and happy seeing almost every item. She gets extremely happy in these little things which ultimately makes me happy.

Well, now that our shopping was done, the only thing left to do was book our flight tickets and then we were all set for our amazing honeymoon trip to Bali.

Little Moments of Love!
We got a beautiful start to our trip- sunset at the Tanah Lot Temple.

But before that, we visited the temple and offered our prayers. In my opinion, the most striking feature of this temple was its location. Can you imagine that it is set on top of an outcrop amidst the sea. You can literally sit here for hours, admire the open blue sea and relax- it would be the best therapy!

After exploring the temple, we came outside, sat down near the edge with our legs dangling in the air. Then finally, we got to see the magical moment that we were waiting for.

The sun started to go down, changing the colour of the sky from light blue to crimson and orange.

And there it was, the sparkle in her eyes when she got excited. She was busy admiring the sunset, whereas, I could not take my eyes off her. Like always, I was left speechless and in awe by looking at her because she is my biggest muse.

I also cannot forget about our short trip to Ubud. This is where we got to see as well as experience the cultural richness of Bali. We started the tour with the remarkable Ubud Palace and ended it at the vibrant Ubud Market. Oh, and we did quite a lot of shopping in that market.

Love/Adventure
So to make our honeymoon trip to Bali a little more exciting and adventurous, we added a number of fun activities in our itinerary.

Starting with the most iconic, the Bali swing. I tell you, it is way more fun than it looks in the picture. There is not just one, but a total of 18 swings to choose from. We tried two of the swings and the experience was amazing. We even did a little photoshoot at their photo stops.

A really relaxing experience was our couple’s massage at the Black Sand Beach. So, imagine this, you are getting a massage while you are admiring the amazing views in front of you, what else could be more soothing than this?

Now, I’ll talk about some of the most adventurous things we tried. First, we enjoyed a really fun ATV ride through the bamboo forest, water and muddy trails. It was EXHILARATING!!

And how can I forget about our water activities? We tried so many! Starting with the slow and steady, we tried the banana boat ride. Then we moved on to the real one- parasailing.

At one moment, I did skip a heartbeat but it was an amazing experience. And we ended the day by trying out one of the most famous water activities, jet skiing.

But, this was not the end. We also enjoyed a fascinating Kecak dance and fire show which is the traditional dance of Bali. Everything from the performance to the costumes, fire stunts and dance moves was applaudable.

An Evening so Perfect!
Of course, I could not end my honeymoon by surprising my beautiful wife. I had planned the perfect evening for both of us- a candlelight dinner under Bali’s magical stars!

I took her to this beautiful restaurant and gently closed her eyes with my hands at the entrance to make it a little more exciting. I walked her down to our seat and then asked her to open her eyes.

She screamed with joy and immediately hugged me. She was so happy to see the table decorated with rose petals and candles in between. We had a wholesome meal there and it was the perfect evening.

A Getaway to the Dreamy Island
On the last day before our departure we did a little day trip to the most famous Nusa Penida Island. Without exploring this, your trip to Bali is absolutely incomplete!

We did a tour of some of the most amazing beaches of the island like the Kelingking Beach, Angel Billabong, Broken Bay and Crystal Bay. We spent the entire day exploring the beaches on our private boat, trying local snacks, relaxing at the beach, taking pictures and watching the sunset.

Well, the tour was not over yet! We also tried snorkelling here. To be honest, it was one of the best activities that I have tried in my life.

You get to see how beautiful and vibrant the underwater world is. You get to see how many different types of fishes there are. You get to touch the marine animals, admire the coral reefs and what not!

Unfortunately, our trip was over and the next day we had to catch our flight back home. It was a wonderful trip that both of us are going to cherish forever.

This trip was the best way of celebrating our bond, our marriage and our endless love towards each other!
