An Escapade to the Lion City: Sushil’s Exciting Singapore Trip with Thrillophilia

Hi, I am Sushil and this is the story of one of the most amazing trips of my life!

I was in the market with my wife shopping for vegetables and other groceries when we overheard a man talking to someone over the call.

He was talking about his trip to Singapore. He seemed so thrilled and happy talking about his experiences that we could not help but overhear the entire conversation.

He talked about his night safari and encounters with several wild animals, enjoying cruise rides, visiting the Universal Studios and a lot more. His descriptions were so clear and precise that we could imagine it all.

When we came back home, my wife started narrating the entire thing to our whole family. The fun part was that the entire family got excited and gathered around to listen to it. Some even started searching about the popular attractions of Singapore.

Seeing all this, I got an amazing plan to surprise my family. I wanted to take them all to Singapore. But before I could tell them about this, I wanted to confirm all the details like how we can reach there, about the accommodations and approximately how much it can cost.

While searching about these details, I got to know about Thrillophilia. Surprisingly, their packages included everything from stays to attractions, tours, local transportations and what not. This seemed more than perfect!

So, a few days passed and I could see that there were still a few faded talks about that man’s Singapore trip. This was the perfect moment to surprise them and let them know we were going to Singapore ourselves!

The Best of Singapore!
I now get the excitement of that man we overheard in the market.

With its high-rise buildings to rich culture, diverse food options, stunning attractions and unique activities, Singapore is extraordinary!

Although our trip was for 4-5 days, all of us really wished that we could stay there longer as there was so much to see and do. But, what mattered the most is that our days there were quite happening and gladly we did not waste a minute of it.

The very first day of our trip was my most favourite, full of excitement. We visited the Singapore Night Safari, because, just like that man narrated, we were hoping for some close encounters with the wild animals of the jungle. As the name suggests, the most popular activity here is the night safari into the woods – so we had to try it.

We enjoyed the fun tram ride that took us deep into the jungle. Throughout the journey, we got to see so many animals up close like flying squirrels, Asian elephants and foxes. The best highlight of the tour was when we got to see a lioness with her cub. After the tour, we also enjoyed the fascinating ‘Creatures of the Night’ live show.

As we were travelling with our little girl, we wanted an entire day dedicated to her. So, we also visited the famous Universal Studios of Singapore.

Well, in the end, it turned out to be the most fun day for all of us and not just her.

It was after a very very long time that I tried so many rides. Some were nice and slow, while some made me scream on top of my lungs. In between the rides, we kept trying different snacks and drinks, my top favourites were the same old- chicken rice, hot dogs and churros.

A Grand Tour of the Landmarks!
One entire day of our trip was completely dedicated to exploring the well-known landmarks of Singapore.

I loved the fact that we were given a personal car so all of us were comfortable throughout the journey. Mainly, because it would have been really difficult covering so many attractions by local transports.

So we explored plenty of iconic landmarks that day such as the Merlion Statue, Helix Bridge and Esplanade Theatre. We also toured around the famous Civic District which further included amazing attractions like the National Museum of Singapore and Fort Canning Park.

Personally, I was really impressed by the Singapore Flyer. It seemed like a fun ride that should not be missed. Next thing we know, we purchased the last minute tickets and hopped into one of its glass cabins.

I must tell you, when our gondola cabin reached the top, the views were breathtakingly beautiful. It was the first time we were seeing all of Singapore at once!

Unveiling the Magic of Sentosa!
So, keeping the best one for the last, we also did a day tour of the magical Sentosa Island.

Now if I begin describing its beauty, this review might never end! It was one of the most beautiful places that I had seen in my life.

How we reached Sentosa Island?- by a fun cable car ride! This cable car ride surely took our excitement to another level.

We only had a day to explore this gorgeous island so we made sure not to waste any time. Starting with the Madame Tussauds Museum, all of us were left awestruck looking at the life-like statues of so many popular personalities. We saw many amazing statues of Johnny Depp, David Beckham, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, but, of course, our favourite was- Shahrukh Khan and Aiswarya Rai Bacchan.

After that we tried the Skyhelix Sentosa ride which was an extremely thrilling experience. Our next stop was, iFly Singapore as my family really wanted to try it. Although I personally did not try this activity, my family really enjoyed it.

In the evening, we spent some leisure time on the beautiful beach. Some of us laid down on the clear golden sand, some went searching for snacks while some, like me, were simply admiring the surreal views around me.

We called it a day by attending the famous Wings of Time night show. It is an award-winning 20 minutes show that takes you through a magical world.

This is where our amazing trip to Singapore came to an end. All of us were returning home with a bag full of memories and our hearts full of joy.

Not only did we get to explore so much and try so many fun activities, it was a great feeling experiencing all of this with my family!
