A Journey Back to Themselves: Vaishali & Lokesh’s Singapore Holiday with Thrillophilia

They used to travel often before life got hectic. Over the years, planning trips slowly turned into “maybe later,” then “sometime soon,” and eventually not at all. This holiday was their way of bringing that old joy back – the excitement of packing bags, discovering new cultures, and seeing the world beyond their everyday routine. Their first international trip felt like the perfect place to begin again. And as they clicked ‘book’, it wasn’t just a trip they were choosing – it was a restart.

What made it even more special was the reassurance they needed in the beginning. They were hesitant to trust a platform for such a big milestone, but Thrillophilia’s constant support, clear communication, and careful arrangements gave them the confidence to take that leap. Looking back now, they’re glad they did – because Singapore turned out to be nothing short of magical.

Singapore: Where Nature, Skylines & Night Adventures Come Alive

Singapore welcomed them with the kind of energy only a city built around creativity and efficiency can offer. Their introduction to the island began with the Night Safari, an experience unlike any zoo visit they’d had before. Riding the tram under the warm night sky, spotting nocturnal wildlife, and watching the fire dance show made the evening feel immersive and beautifully different – the perfect start to their rediscovered travel chapter.

Over the next couple of days, they explored the city’s best-known icons.

The Merlion Park, Helix Bridge, Esplanade, and the bustling lanes of Chinatown showed them a side of Singapore where history and modernity blend effortlessly. Every spot felt polished, thoughtfully designed, and full of character.

One of their favourite experiences was seeing Singapore from above – first at Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, where the skyline stretched endlessly and the breeze carried the hum of the city; and later from the scenic Cable Car journey to Sentosa, gliding over the coastline as the city unfolded beneath them.

Sentosa kept the excitement alive through attractions that beautifully complemented one another:

the light-hearted fun of Madame Tussauds, the hypnotic underwater world of the SEA Aquarium, and finally the stunning spectacle of Wings of Time, where fire, water, light, and music created a show they described as “absolutely worth it.”

But the day that made them feel like kids again was Universal Studios. From movie-themed zones to thrilling rides and live entertainment, every corner had something fun to offer. They returned tired, smiling, and full of stories – the kind of day that reminds you why travel feels so good.

Singapore’s Soothing Side: Gardens, Art & Quiet Moments

Beyond the adrenaline and colour, Singapore also gave them moments of calm and wonder – the kind that stay with you long after you’ve left.

Gardens by the Bay was exactly that.

At Flower Dome, they walked through beautifully curated floral worlds, and at Cloud Forest, they stood before one of the tallest indoor waterfalls in the world, surrounded by cool mist and lush greenery. Floral Fantasy added an artistic twist, combining blooms, sculptures, and immersive installations that made the entire space feel dreamlike.

Even the city tour’s quieter stops – the Civic District, War Memorial, Istana, and the cultural pockets around Dhoby Ghaut – helped them understand the soulful balance Singapore maintains between tradition, architecture, and urban evolution.

Singapore turned out to be more than a city break. It offered thrill, calm, beauty, and an unexpected emotional warmth – the perfect destination to restart their journey as travellers.

Kuala Lumpur: A Warm Shift in Rhythm

After Singapore’s futuristic pace, Kuala Lumpur brought a different, comforting kind of charm. It felt grounded, lively, and full of contrasts – shining skyscrapers on one end and heritage-rich pockets on the other.

The first thing that captured them was the brilliance of the Petronas Towers. Whether viewed from below or from afar, the twin structures defined KL’s identity with grace. Exploring Merdeka Square, the surrounding colonial buildings, and cultural corners gave them a richer understanding of the city’s roots. The panoramic view from the KL Tower Sky Deck added yet another perspective – sweeping vistas that showed Kuala Lumpur’s mix of green hills, modern clusters, and old neighbourhoods.

A short dedicated day led them to the iconic Batu Caves, where the towering golden statue and limestone cave temples created a striking spiritual impression. The steps felt worth every climb – the views, the carvings, the colours, and the sense of freshness at the top were a reward in themselves.

From there, the journey to Genting Highlands brought a shift from humidity to cool winds. The cable car ride offered scenic views of valleys wrapped in clouds, and the highlands themselves had the perfect combination of entertainment, food, and relaxation. It was easy, enjoyable, and exactly what they needed.

KL became the relaxed, slow-paced counterpart to Singapore’s energy, together creating a well-balanced international holiday.

A First International Trip That Brought Back an Old Happiness

By the time their trip came to an end, both Vaishali and Lokesh felt the same thing – this holiday wasn’t just a break, it was a reminder. A reminder of how much they loved travelling, how good it felt to explore again, and how deeply a new place can refresh the mind.

And in their own words, they summed it up beautifully:

“This was our first foreign trip, and we were not expecting such a lovely experience with Thrillophilia. Initially, we were afraid to book our trip, but Thrillophilia provided assurance and confidence to go further. Thanks for all your arrangements; it was really amazing. Overall, our experience was nice. We will definitely try future trips with Thrillophilia.”

For Vaishali and Lokesh, this holiday marked the beginning of travelling again – a gentle reminder that they didn’t have to keep waiting for “someday”.
