Venkata Durga Sudheer Andhavarapu’s Andaman Trip Review with Thrillophilia: A Memorable Island Journey for the Family
When Venkata Durga Sudheer Andhavarapu planned a family holiday to the Andaman Islands, he hoped the destination would offer both relaxation and memorable experiences for all sixteen members travelling together. Coordinating a large group can be challenging, but this trip turned into a memorable one, just as the family expected. From the first day in Port Blair to their final departure, the Andaman islands gave them beaches, ferry rides, scenic moments and enough variety to keep every member of the family engaged.
Landing in Port Blair and Beginning the Trip
The family arrived in Port Blair on 23 January, where their vehicles were ready to take them to NK International. Once everyone settled into their rooms, they stepped out to begin their first day of exploration.

Corbyn Cove Beach offered a calm introduction to the islands. The shoreline, palm-covered stretch and gentle waves made it an easy place to unwind after the flight. The family spent some time walking, talking and taking pictures before heading to their next stop.
Later, they visited the Cellular Jail, one of the most historically significant landmarks in the region. The light and sound show narrated the story of India’s freedom struggle, and the visit added a thoughtful element to the beginning of their holiday. It was a quiet yet meaningful way to end the first day.
A Scenic Journey to Havelock and an Afternoon at Radhanagar Beach
The next morning, the group checked out and travelled to Phoenix Bay Harbour for their ferry to Havelock. Moving sixteen people might normally feel chaotic, but the family enjoyed the ferry ride and the slight shift in energy between Port Blair and Havelock.
Once they reached the island, they checked into De Havelock Queen. The surroundings offered a peaceful escape and rooms that helped everyone settle quickly.
Their visit to Radhanagar Beach that afternoon became one of the standout experiences of the entire trip. With wide shorelines, soft white sand and striking blue water, the beach created the perfect setting for the family to relax together. Some walked along the water, some played with the waves, while others simply sat and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The beach offered enough space for each person to explore at their own pace.
A Morning at Elephant Beach
On the third day, the group visited Elephant Beach. After reaching the spot, they took time to explore the beachfront and the surrounding water. Neemo Reef, located close by, gave them a chance to see marine life and take pictures in the clear blue water.
For families, Elephant Beach often becomes a favourite because of the natural setting, and this group was no exception. The children were excited, the adults enjoyed the views, and the family shared moments that felt simple yet meaningful. By the time they left the beach, they had already collected stories that would be retold long after the trip.
From Kalapathar to Neil Island
The fourth morning began with a visit to Kalapathar Beach. Known for its unique black rocks and quiet shoreline, the location felt different from Radhanagar or Elephant Beach. The family spent time walking along the beach, taking photos and enjoying the fresh morning breeze before heading back.
After that peaceful stop, they returned to the harbour to board their ferry to Neil Island. Upon arrival, they checked into Save Green Resort. The resort allowed them to rest, regroup and prepare for their next day of island exploration.
Exploring Neil Island and Returning to Port Blair
Neil Island offered a relaxed and scenic day for the family. They visited Laxmanpur Beach, Sitapur Beach and Bharatpur Beach. Each spot gave them different views, from shallow shores to scenic rock formations and open spaces. Some members enjoyed optional water activities, while others preferred staying by the shore or capturing the scenery.
After completing their sightseeing, they headed back to the jetty for their ferry to Port Blair. Once they arrived, they checked into NK International for their final night's stay.
This day stood out because it showed a different rhythm of island life. Havelock felt vibrant and popular. Neil felt quieter and more open and ideal for families who enjoy laid-back moments.
Departure from Port Blair
On 28 January, the family finished their holiday and checked out of the hotel. Their vehicles arrived on time for the airport drop, and the group prepared to head home. Carrying memories of beaches, ferry rides, scenic viewpoints and time spent together, they concluded their Andaman journey.
Final Thoughts
When Sudheer summed up the holiday, he described it as a wonderful experience and a memorable trip, delivered exactly as promised. With sixteen passengers travelling together, comfort and convenience mattered, and the overall journey reflected both.
From exploring well-known beaches to visiting peaceful corners of the islands, the family found themselves enjoying every part of the itinerary. Each hotel offered a clean and comfortable stay, the drivers remained helpful throughout the journey, and the inter-island travel happened with clarity.

The island atmosphere, the well-paced days and the feeling of travelling together as a large family made the experience meaningful. The trip gave them a mix of scenic beauty, small adventures and moments of togetherness.
Sudheer ended the review with a positive thought, the trip was worth remembering, and Thrillophilia delivered the experience they were hoping for.
