I have always dreamt of celebrating Christmas like the ones I’d seen in movies— sparkling lights, cosy scarves, and snowy streets straight out of a fairytale. London, with its charm and grandeur, had always been the backdrop of this dream.

So when I gifted my husband his dream watch for Christmas, I teased him, saying, “Now, what’s my surprise?”

Little did I know, he was holding on to something magical. Just a week before Christmas, he handed me a pair of tickets— London, here we come!

It felt surreal— this Christmas, I was going to live my childhood fantasy with the man I loved most.

A Day of Gourmet Treats!

Our adventure began the moment we landed, the festive cheer of London wrapping around us like a warm blanket. We had requested Thrillophilia to add Borough Market (London’s largest and oldest food market) as our first stop— a Christmas wonderland for food lovers like us.

The market buzzed with energy, filled with the laughter of locals and the scent of mulled wine, cinnamon, and roasted chestnuts. It was like stepping into a Charles Dickens novel, only with more food stalls!

We decided to taste everything we could. From warm mince pies and Yorkshire puddings to freshly baked pastries and hot chocolate so rich it felt like a hug in a cup— we were in foodie heaven.

My husband kept sneaking bites from my plate, and I playfully scolded him, “Get your own!” but secretly, I loved every bit of it. We strolled through the market hand-in-hand, soaking in the festive vibes, listening to carol singers in the distance, and marvelling at the twinkling lights.

Twirl at Somerset!

The next day, my husband and I tried something we’d never done before— ice skating at Somerset House. At first, I flat-out refused- “You know I’ll fall flat on my face,” I argued, clinging to my hot coffee. But he, being the persuasive romantic that he is, convinced me to give it a shot.

The ice rink, surrounded by the stunning Georgian architecture of Somerset House, looked straight out of a snow globe. I hesitantly stepped onto the ice, wobbling like a baby deer. My husband held my hand, guiding me slowly, and before I knew it, we were gliding— well, almost.

To be honest, we did fell a few times, laughing so hard that people around us probably thought we were crazy. I remember one moment when we both tumbled and just lay there on the ice, staring up at the twinkling lights strung above us.

“This is a disaster,” I giggled. “No,” he said, smiling, “this is perfect.” And it was. By the end of it, I didn’t want to leave. Who knew ice skating could be so magical?

Gallery Hopping!

To balance the fun with a little sophistication, we spent the next day exploring London’s iconic art galleries.

First on our list was The King’s Gallery, where we admired royal masterpieces that felt like windows into history. The gallery was housed in a grand, regal building, with its high ceilings and ornate decor giving off an air of sophistication. We paused at one particularly striking portrait of Queen Elizabeth I, her commanding gaze almost making us feel like we were standing before royalty.

At the Guildhall Art Gallery, we marveled at the Roman amphitheater and stunning masterpieces. The ancient ruins of the building provided a stark contrast to the vivid Victorian paintings that adorned the walls. The paintings themselves were full of emotion, each one telling a unique story.

Next, we wandered through Tate Modern, an industrial marvel showcasing contemporary art. I stood mesmerized by one of the installations- a large, chaotic web of metallic threads suspended from the ceiling, creating a sense of entanglement and complexity. We also visited the Lightroom for its immersive displays and the Serpentine Galleries for their bold, modern exhibits.

The Night of Christmas!

The most magical day of all, the day I had been waiting for, was Christmas Eve. London transformed into a scene straight out of a holiday movie. The air was filled with the smell of freshly baked cookies and the faint sound of carols. Streets glimmered with festive lights, and shop windows sparkled like treasure chests.

We dressed in our best outfits, ready to celebrate in style. Our first stop was the London Christmas Market, where we shopped for souvenirs— little snow globes, handmade ornaments, and a scarf that my husband insisted looked “so London” on me.

We listened to live choirs singing Christmas carols and treated ourselves to warm, gooey desserts that melted in our mouths. At the heart of the market stood a massive Christmas tree, glowing brighter than anything I’d ever seen.

As the night grew colder, we made our way to the London Eye for the perfect finale. The city sparkled below us like a sea of diamonds, each light telling a story of joy and celebration.

As we reached the top, I looked out at the skyline— Big Ben glowing in the distance, the Thames reflecting the city lights, and the festive buzz all around. My husband wrapped his arm around me, and for a moment, everything felt still.

“Merry Christmas,” he whispered.

I leaned my head on his shoulder, my heart full. But life kept getting in the way with work, responsibilities, and everything in between.

During dinner one night, they finally said, “Let’s stop waiting and just do it.” That conversation turned years of dreaming into a decision.

Aashi and her mother contacted the Thrillophilia team, who helped them plan the entire itinerary. This way, the two of them were ready to explore Europe together.

They landed in Paris on a cool spring morning to begin their magical two-week journey through Europe.

The Lively City of Paris

Their first evening in Paris was all about getting comfortable and soaking it all in. After a warm Indian dinner arranged through the trip package, they returned to their hotel. Aashi’s mother was always fond of Paris, and when she finally saw the Eiffel Tower shining under the night sky, tears came to her eyes.

The next morning, they started their day with the Eiffel Tower. They also saw the famous Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo at the Louvre. Later, they went on a cruise along the Seine River. As the boat passed under the old bridges and beautiful buildings, Aashi looked at her mother as she was lost in the gorgeous views of the surroundings.

On the third day, they chose to slow down and soak it all in at their own pace. They walked through cobbled streets, tried delicious pastries, and spent time window-shopping. It was indeed a quiet and happy day.

From Chocolates to Canals

On Day 4, Aashi and her mother drove to Brussels in Belgium. The city had a warm and lively vibe. At the Grand Palace, they were amazed to see the buildings and the buzz of people around them. They clicked fun photos near the famous Mannekin Pis statue. “He is smaller than I expected,” Aashi laughed.

They also explored the beautiful St. Michael’s Cathedral. The smell of fresh Belgian waffles was all around the street. They could not resist and grabbed a warm and crispy one to share.

They continued their journey and arrived in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As they saw the calm canals and colourful houseboats, they were surprised.

They visited the Royal Palace and then walked around the Dam Square, where street performers entertained small crowds. Aashi’s mother had a sweet tooth, so they tried the famous stroopwafels (a thin and crispy waffle filled with caramel). They were so tasty that they picked up a few extra to take back to their hotel for a late-night snack.

Castles and Cathedrals

On Day 6, they travelled to Cologne in Germany. But it was the sight of Rhine Falls that impressed them. It was one of those rare and perfect moments.

Through Liechtenstein, Austria, and Italy

Their journey continued with a halt in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. A tram ride gave them a short but lovely tour of this scenic country. When they finally landed in Norway, the adventure felt surreal. Here they were, far from the bustling streets of Delhi, about to explore the ethereal landscapes of the North. Norway wasn’t just a destination; it was a promise of breathtaking views, intimate moments, and a touch of magic they could share as newlyweds.

Arrival in Oslo: A Quiet Beginning

Their journey began in Oslo, the capital city which welcomed them with snow-dusted streets, cozy cafes, and that crisp, Nordic chill in the air. They strolled along the harbor, holding hands, exploring the city at their own pace. Rahul caught a glimpse of Meera’s wide-eyed wonder at every corner they turned. She squeezed his hand as they passed the grand Oslo Opera House, and he whispered, “Just wait—this is only the beginning.”

Onward to Tromsø: The Gateway to the Arctic

The next day, they boarded a train to Tromsø, a town famously known as the “Gateway to the Arctic.” The journey was filled with laughter, cozy blankets, and stolen glances as they watched the snowy landscapes rush by. Tromsø had a stillness to it that made everything feel timeless. That night, they geared up for the Northern Lights tour, bundled in thermal suits, their excitement palpable.

As they waited under the expansive Arctic sky, Rahul glanced at Meera, seeing her breath fogging in the air, her eyes scanning the heavens. Then, the sky came alive—a swirling dance of green and purple lights. “It’s like magic,” Meera whispered. Rahul wrapped his arms around her, and together they stood, silent, watching the lights drift and dance. Under that sky, the universe felt close, as if it were blessing their journey.

A Day with Reindeer and Sami Culture

The next morning, they ventured out to a reindeer farm run by the indigenous Sami people. Meera’s face lit up as they met the gentle reindeer, feeding them with care. Their Sami guide shared stories of their ancient culture, and Meera eagerly soaked it all in. She laughed with delight as they set off on a reindeer sled, clutching Rahul’s arm tightly as they glided over the snow.

“Did you ever think we’d be doing this on our honeymoon?” she asked, eyes sparkling. Here, they stayed in a secluded cabin, perched by the edge of a quiet fjord. In the morning, Rahul woke her just as the sun was rising, casting a golden light over the towering mountains and shimmering water. They strolled along the shore, hand in hand, feeling as though they were in a world of their own.

“You’re like my own fairytale prince,” Meera teased, leaning against him as they watched the first light touch the snowy peaks. They boarded a boat that took them through narrow passages, flanked by steep cliffs and hidden waterfalls. The air was cold, crisp, and filled with the scent of pine. Rahul held Meera close as they watched eagles soar and waterfalls cascade down the cliffs. At one point, a mist rolled in, creating an ethereal atmosphere that made the fjord feel endless.

“Can you believe we’re here?” Rahul asked. It wasn’t easy convincing everyone why I wanted to go to the USA, solo, of all things. My mother made a list of "just-in-case" calls to the Thrillophilia’s POC Manjiri.

Friends said, “Won’t it get lonely?”

But in my heart, I knew where I belonged—even if it was just for a few weeks. I bought a coffee from a cart (they call it “regular” if it’s with milk and sugar; I learned the hard way) and found a bench where a saxophonist played Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York.

A woman feeding pigeons next to me turned and smiled, “You know, I’ve been doing this for 20 years. The birds don’t even fly away anymore.”

I don’t know why, but that moment—just a stranger telling me about pigeons—felt more like New York than the Empire State Building I visited the next day.

Sure, the view from the top was surreal, the lights spreading across the city like a million golden wishes, but it was the tiny human exchanges that got me. Like the time I asked for directions in a crowded subway station and an old man said, “Oh honey, you’re already lost. Might as well go where the train takes you.”

My days were filled with eating pepperoni pizzas, dollar pretzels bigger than my face, and hearty meals of clam chowder at small diners where waitresses called me “sweetie” without ever knowing my name. I also walked a lot—my feet carried me through cobbled streets in Brooklyn where street artists painted entire walls, and through Chinatown where shopkeepers smiled kindly even when I tried to haggle for a keychain.

In Washington, D.C., I visited museums that held history in their silence, towering monuments that whispered stories of leaders gone by. I strolled through the National Mall as cherry blossom petals floated like confetti, painting the ground pink and soft, and for a moment, I forgot the time.

Then came Chicago, a city where the skyline seemed to dance with Lake Michigan’s waves. I stumbled upon a tiny jazz club where the air smelled of whiskey and music. A saxophonist—this time playing Miles Davis—made my heart ache in the best way.

I sipped a drink I couldn’t pronounce, listened to the music, and realized how comforting it was to be a stranger in a room full of strangers. Maybe solo travel wasn’t lonely at all. Maybe it was about the company, just in a different form.

The Little Things That Make a Big Trip

Traveling solo does something magical to you. It’s not the grand things—the Statue of Liberty or The Bean in Chicago—that linger in your memory. It’s the little ones. The hot dog I ate near Central Park where ketchup dripped down my chin, the homeless man who painted vibrant street art on torn cardboard, or the cab driver who asked where I was from and proudly said, “You know, my cousin’s in India too—Bangalore!”

One evening in D.C., I sat on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, looking out at the reflecting pool bathed in twilight. Beside me, a group of kids giggled as they rolled down the steps. A mother, exasperated and smiling, called after them. I sat there alone, yet somehow not. Because travel teaches you that you’re never really alone.

The USA—big, loud, busy, and breathtaking—became a series of these moments for me. It wasn’t just about “seeing places” but about being part of them.

A Note for the Dreamers

If you’ve ever put your dreams on hold—don’t worry, they’ll wait for you. Mine waited for six years until I finally walked into New York, camera slung around my neck and eyes full of wonder.

To anyone hesitant about solo travel, here’s my advice: do it. Go to that jazz club alone, eat at a restaurant alone, and ride the subway even if you get lost. Because solo doesn’t mean lonely—it means freedom.

Oh, and before I forget: If you’re headed to New York, grab a bagel with schmear from that little shop near Central Park, and don’t miss Chicago’s deep-dish pizza (trust me, you’ll need to sit after). Washington, D.C.? Walk through the museums at your own pace and let history wrap you in its quiet embrace.

This trip was more than a vacation; it was me meeting myself in cities I’d only dreamed of. Others arrive softly, settling into you without announcement. For Rajlaxmi Katikala, this winter journey through Spiti Valley was neither about chasing thrills nor about ticking destinations off a list. It was about observing how landscapes change people, gently, without demanding anything in return.

Travelling with three companions, Rajlaxmi set out on an eight-day private winter tour of Spiti Valley with Thrillophilia. Winter was not the obvious choice. Snow had already begun to settle, roads were unpredictable, and comforts would be limited. But that uncertainty was precisely what made the journey meaningful. There were no expectations of perfection. Only curiosity.

When the Mountains Begin to Speak: Chandigarh to Narkanda

The journey began in Chandigarh, where city rhythms slowly gave way to winding mountain roads. As the Ertiga climbed toward Narkanda, the Shivalik foothills unfolded gently, wrapped in pine and deodar forests. The air changed first, cooler and sharper, and then the silence followed.

Narkanda welcomed the group with apple orchards and distant snow-capped peaks. There was no rush to explore. That evening was spent settling in, watching mist rise from the valleys, and quietly acknowledging that this was the start of something different. Winter travel demands patience, and Narkanda seemed to teach that lesson early.

Chitkul: Where Roads End and Stillness Begins

From Narkanda, the road to Chitkul felt narrower and more intimate. Crossing the Karcham Sangam Bridge, where the Sutlej meets the Baspa, marked a visible shift in terrain and mindset. The Kinnaur Valley unfolded in layers, wooden homes clinging to slopes, prayer flags fluttering in the cold wind.

Chitkul, often described as the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, felt suspended in time. Snow dusted rooftops and fields, and silence lingered longer than conversation. For Rajlaxmi, this was not a place to do anything but a place to simply be. The night was cold, but the warmth of shared meals and quiet laughter inside the camp made it deeply comforting.

Nako: The First True Pause

The journey into Spiti truly announced itself on the drive to Nako. Passing through Reckong Peo, the towering presence of the Kinner Kailash range felt humbling. The stop at Khab, where the Sutlej and Spiti rivers merge, was brief but powerful. It was not dramatic, just deeply grounding, as if marking a threshold.

Nako felt like a storybook village. The frozen lake mirrored the surrounding peaks, willow and poplar trees standing still in the cold air. Walking around Nako Lake and visiting the monastery felt less like sightseeing and more like listening. In winter, Spiti does not reveal itself easily. It asks you to slow down.

Into the Heart of Spiti: Tabo, Gue, and Kaza

The road from Nako to Kaza was where winter travel truly made its presence known. Smooth stretches gave way to rugged paths, and every stop felt earned. At Gue Monastery, standing before the centuries-old mummy of a Buddhist lama was quietly unsettling and deeply fascinating, a reminder of time moving differently in the mountains.

Tabo Monastery followed, its ancient murals and weathered walls earning its title as the ‘Ajanta of the Himalayas’. There was no crowd, no noise. Just history, preserved in stillness. Dhankar Village came next, dramatically perched above the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers, its monastery clinging to the cliffs as if defying gravity and time alike.

Arriving in Kaza felt like reaching the heart of the valley. Despite being the largest settlement in Spiti, it retained a calmness that cities often forget. The two-night stay allowed the group to rest and acclimatise, something winter travellers quickly learn to value.

High Villages and Higher Perspectives

The following day unfolded slowly around Kaza. Key Monastery stood tall, its whitewashed structure layered like steps into the sky. Inside, painted rooms and prayer halls spoke of discipline, resilience, and faith shaped by altitude.

Langza followed, where a giant Buddha statue watched over fossil-rich land, and the vastness of the valley made conversations instinctively quieter. In Hikkim, sending a postcard from the world’s highest post office felt symbolic, a message sent from isolation to the rest of the world. Komik, one of Asia’s highest villages, offered views that felt almost unreal, stark, expansive, and deeply peaceful.

Kalpa: A Return to Green and Contrast

Leaving Spiti behind, the road toward Kalpa felt like a gradual re-entry into colour. Stopping again at Dhankar and travelling along the Sutlej near Puh, the landscape slowly softened. Reckong Peo reappeared, offering uninterrupted views of the Kinner Kailash peak.

Kalpa arrived quietly. Set against towering mountains, the village felt balanced, not harsh like Spiti, not busy like towns below. That night, windows framed snow-lit peaks, and silence once again became the dominant sound.

Shimla and the Gentle Goodbye

The drive to Shimla felt almost surreal after days of rugged terrain. Roads smoothed out, structures multiplied, and human presence became more obvious. Shimla was familiar, yet after Spiti, it felt louder.

The final journey back to Chandigarh carried a different weight. There was no urgency to reach home, only reflections on how winter had reshaped the experience. This was not a trip defined by comfort, but by care.

What Stayed Behind

For Rajlaxmi Katikala, this Spiti winter journey was not about overcoming challenges, but about accepting them. Thrillophilia’s planning ensured reliable transfers, comfortable stays given the terrain, and a thoughtfully paced itinerary that respected both altitude and weather.

Winter in Spiti does not entertain. It teaches. And this journey, shaped by cold mornings, silent valleys, and resilient roads, became a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful travel experiences are the ones that arrive without expectations and leave you quietly changed.

Read More: Thrillophilia Spiti Reviews

Tushar Dutt’s Kerala Trip Review with Thrillophilia: A Family Journey Through Calm, Clouds, and Backwaters

Read Tushar Dutt’s Thrillophilia review of his 7-day family trip to Kerala, covering Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey backwaters, Kovalam beaches.

Kerala Reviews

Sinjini Sarkar

After many conversations about taking a slow, meaningful holiday together, Kerala finally felt like the right answer for Tushar Dutt and his family. They were not looking for a rushed itinerary or a trip packed with constant activity. What they wanted was time. Time to be together, time to breathe, and time to experience a place that allows you to slow down naturally. Kerala, with its gentle pace and ever-changing landscapes, offered exactly that.

With all the planning handled by Thrillophilia, the family set out on a seven-day journey that moved seamlessly through hills, forests, backwaters, and beaches. From the very first day, there was a sense of ease. Transfers were smooth, the itinerary was balanced, and nothing ever felt overwhelming. It was the kind of holiday where each day unfolded quietly, without pressure.

Where the Hills First Spoke

The journey began in Kochi, from where the family drove towards the mist-covered hills of Munnar. The road itself felt like an introduction to Kerala’s rhythm. Crossing the Neriamangalam Bridge, they paused to watch the Periyar River flow steadily below, setting the tone for the days ahead. Stops at Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls added a refreshing pause, where the sound of cascading water and lush surroundings washed away any lingering travel fatigue.

By the time they reached Munnar, the air had grown cooler and noticeably fresher. Tea plantations stretched across rolling slopes, and clouds drifted lazily through the valleys. The evening was kept deliberately simple. There was no rush to explore. Instead, the family settled in, enjoyed the quiet surroundings, and allowed the hills to work their magic.

The following day was dedicated to discovering Munnar at an unhurried pace. They visited open grasslands, scenic viewpoints, and spots like Mattupetty Dam, where still waters reflected the surrounding hills. What stood out most was how Munnar did not demand attention through grand attractions. Its beauty revealed itself gently, in layers, through silence, greenery, and shifting light.

Into the Forests of Thekkady

Leaving the misty hills behind, the family travelled onward to Thekkady, where the landscape gradually transformed into dense forests and spice-scented air. The journey itself felt calming, with winding roads and greenery on both sides.

At Periyar Lake, they boarded a boat and drifted quietly through calm waters. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the experience was never about ticking off animals from a list. It was about being present. Watching the forest edges, listening to birds, and feeling the stillness of the water created a sense of grounding that stayed with them long after the ride ended.

That night in Thekkady felt peaceful and restorative. Boarding a traditional houseboat felt like stepping into another rhythm of life altogether. As the boat began to glide through the backwaters, the world seemed to slow down.

Coconut palms leaned over narrow canals, village life unfolded quietly along the banks, and paddy fields stretched endlessly into the distance. Meals served on board were simple yet comforting, enjoyed while watching the scenery move past at a gentle pace.

As the evening settled in, the houseboat rested on still waters. There was very little conversation, not because there was nothing to say, but because the moment itself felt complete. The sounds of water, distant village lights, and cool night air created an atmosphere that was deeply restful. That night, sleep came easily, accompanied by the soft movement of the boat.

From Mythology to the Sea in Kovalam

The journey then shifted towards the coast, with a meaningful stop at the Jatayu Earth’s Center. Standing before the massive sculpture, the family reflected on how Kerala blends mythology, art, and landscape so effortlessly. It was not just a sightseeing stop, but a moment that added cultural depth to the journey.

Reaching Kovalam, the scenery changed once again. Forests gave way to open skies and endless stretches of sea. The family spent time exploring the beaches, walking along the shore, and letting the rhythm of the waves slow their thoughts. The idea of walking through the streets of Paris, standing at the summit of the Eiffel Tower, visiting Disneyland and then moving across scenic Alpine landscapes felt like a dream waiting to unfold. Thrillophilia’s planning and support helped them experience each part of this journey comfortably, allowing them to enjoy every day without worrying about the details.

Their travels took them from the elegance of Paris to the beauty of Geneva and further into the heart of Switzerland’s mountains. Each place offered something unique and created memories that the couple felt grateful to carry home.

Arrival in Paris and a Perfect Beginning to the Journey

The couple reached Paris on 27 September and boarded their transfer to the hotel. Once they checked in, they took some time to rest and then stepped out for a light exploration of the city on their own. Paris is a place where even simple walks feel meaningful. Whether it was considering a visit to Le Manoir De Paris or strolling through Place des Vosges, the city offered them multiple options to choose from.

This initial day felt relaxed and allowed Jaspreet and Sarabjeet to absorb the atmosphere of the city before starting their scheduled tours.

Seeing the Best of Paris

The next morning began with a guided tour of the city. Paris revealed its charm through a series of iconic locations. Place Vendôme and Opéra Garnier displayed architectural elegance. Champs-Élysées appeared wide and lively, filled with cafes and shops. Alexander Bridge stood tall with its intricate designs.

One of the most memorable parts of the day was visiting the Eiffel Tower. Reaching the summit and seeing the entire city from above gave the couple an experience that truly defined the spirit of Paris.

Their visit to the Palace of Versailles added a royal touch to the day. The Hall of Mirrors and the gardens displayed a grandeur that belonged to an earlier era. The day ended peacefully with a Seine River Cruise, where the couple watched well-known monuments from the water while the city lights reflected gently on the river.

A Magical Day at Disneyland Paris

On the following day, the couple travelled to Disneyland. The entire park carried a cheerful and energetic mood. Disney characters, themed lands and parades filled the hours with fun and colour. Whether they chose to explore Disney Park or the Walt Disney Studios, the day carried a sense of wonder. The attractions, performances and design details created an experience that stood out as one of the most enjoyable parts of their Paris visit.

By the time they returned to their hotel, they felt they had spent a full and lively day.

Crossing Borders and Entering Switzerland

The next morning marked their journey to Geneva. The drive across the changing landscapes introduced them to the natural beauty of the region. Once they arrived, they joined an orientation tour. The Jet d'Eau fountain, visible from afar, captured their attention immediately. The United Nations buildings offered another interesting stop and the Flower Clock near Lake Geneva added colour to their tour.

After checking into their hotel, the couple ended the day with a sense of calm, ready for the Swiss part of their itinerary.

Jungfraujoch: A Day Above the Clouds

On 1 October, they began one of the most awaited parts of the trip. Their journey to Jungfraujoch started at Grindelwald Terminal, where they boarded the Eiger Express. The ride was smooth and scenic, with snowy peaks rising around them.

Once they reached the top, the experience felt extraordinary. They visited the Ice Palace where the walls and sculptures were carved entirely from ice. From the Sphinx Observatory Deck, they admired the wide expanse of Aletsch Glacier. The stillness of the mountains and the bright whiteness of the snow created an unforgettable setting.

Later, they travelled to their hotel in Central Switzerland, where they stayed for three nights.

A Day at Mt. Titlis and an Evening in Lucerne

The following day, the couple visited Mt. Titlis. The Rotair cable car gave them a revolving view of the Alps. At the top, they walked across the Cliff Walk, a suspension bridge surrounded by ice and snow. The experience combined adventure with scenic beauty.

Later, they headed to Lucerne. The city tour included the Lion Monument, a tribute carved into rock, and Chapel Bridge, one of the most photographed landmarks in Switzerland. The Lake Lucerne Cruise that followed offered quiet views of the surrounding hills and water. It became one of the most peaceful moments of their journey.

Vaduz, Chocolate and Europe’s Largest Waterfall

On 3 October, the couple visited Vaduz, where they took a mini-train ride through charming areas, including Red House and Vaduz Castle. Afterward, they travelled to Zurich for the Lindt Home of Chocolate. The interactive exhibits and the impressive chocolate fountain made the visit enjoyable and informative.

Their day ended with a boat ride at Rhine Falls. The power of the waterfall and the mist rising around them created an exciting end to the excursion.

Departure from Zurich

The final day involved a comfortable transfer to Zurich for their flight back home. What Thrillophilia delivered was a two-week journey that moved across islands, cities, beaches and cultural landmarks in a pleasant rhythm. The team in both countries stayed in touch from the beginning, and every pickup, check in and transfer felt thoughtfully planned.

The only moment he felt could have been smoother was the brief stop at the Ganesh statue in Chachoengsao. Apart from this single instance, all other parts of the trip remained coordinated and enjoyable for the entire group.

Settling Into Bali With Calm and Comfort

The first day in Bali began simply. The group landed in Denpasar and found their private SUV waiting. The smooth drive to Ubud Heaven Sayan allowed them to shift into holiday mode quickly. Their three bedroom private pool villa offered privacy, greenery and quiet spaces where the family relaxed after the long flight.

The next morning started with the popular Kintamani route. They admired the view of Mount Batur, walked through a coffee plantation, visited the rushing Tegenungan Waterfall and looked over the bright green Tegalalang Rice Terrace. The Bali Swing added excitement to the day, and lunch was arranged at the swing venue. The combination of scenery, ease and local experiences made the first full day in Bali memorable.

Bali’s Cultural Corners and Sunset Views

Day three mixed beauty and culture. The family travelled to the famous Handara Gate, took photographs surrounded by mountains and mist, visited the serene Ulun Danu Temple on the lakeside and ended the day at Tanah Lot for the sunset. The timing, transfers and food arrangements worked well and allowed them to enjoy the day without hurry.

On the fourth day, they explored Uluwatu and watched the Kecak Dance as evening settled around the cliffs. The coordination remained smooth, and the group appreciated every moment of the experience.

A Day in Nusa Penida

The Nusa Penida tour was a highlight for the family. With early morning pickup and neatly scheduled transfers, they reached the island through a well-managed fast boat ride. Their private car on the island helped them cover Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Broken Bay and Crystal Bay at a comfortable pace. Local lunch was included, and the trip delivered everything Thrillophilia had promised.

The next morning, their airport transfer arrived on time for their Thailand flight. The Bali section wrapped up with satisfaction and a feeling of gratitude toward the local drivers who handled every detail carefully.

Bangkok Welcomes the Group

Upon landing in Bangkok, the group were greeted by the local team and comfortably transferred to their hotel. The schedule was intentionally relaxed so they could explore the city at their own pace that night.

The Bangkok city tour the next day covered important temples, local gems and a lively evening dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River. The family loved the changing skyline, the calm breeze and the warm hospitality on board. The day blended culture and leisure in a pleasant way.

Journey to Pattaya and a Small Exception

The next morning, they travelled to Pattaya with a planned stop at Chachoengsao. The short visit to the Ganesh statue felt slightly less organised when compared to the rest of the trip. While it did not create a problem, Namdeo felt this particular segment could have been arranged with more clarity. However, the onwards journey resumed smoothly, and they reached Pattaya without any further concern.

Once at their hotel, the rest of the day was relaxed. They explored the city at their pace and enjoyed the vibrant streets and markets.

Coral Island and Time by the Sea

The Coral Island tour offered a refreshing change. The group travelled by speedboat to spend the day near the water. Since the senior travellers wished to skip the water sports, the team ensured they had comfortable alternatives. They enjoyed the beach views, lunch and the pleasant weather. The return to Pattaya was timely, and the evening remained peaceful.

Phuket Brings New Energy

On the tenth day, the family boarded a flight to Phuket, where their next hotel stay was arranged. Phuket felt lively, colourful and full of options for exploration. They spent the evening walking through markets, trying local snacks and watching the busy nightlife.

Phi Phi Island the next morning was another high point. They admired Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, Viking Cave and Monkey Beach. Lunch on the island added comfort to a long and scenic day. The Fantasea Show later that evening added fun, music and colour to their Phuket experience.

Peaceful Krabi and Island Hopping

After their Phuket stay, the group continued to Krabi. Their hotel was comfortable, and the beach town offered a slower pace that everyone appreciated. The four-island tour took them to Phranang Cave, Chicken Island, Tup Island and Poda Island. The calm water, limestone formations and lunch on the beach made the day relaxing and energising.

The Last Day and a Smooth Departure

On the final morning, the group travelled back to Phuket for their return flight. The transfers were punctual, and the checkout process was convenient. With two full weeks behind them, the family flew home with pleasant memories.

A Trip They Will Look Back on Fondly

For Namdeo and his family, this long holiday became a collection of good memories. They appreciated Thrillophilia’s consistent organisation across two countries, six hotels, multiple transfers and a long list of activities. Except for the Ganesh statue stop, where the arrangement felt slightly off track, everything else went smoothly.

The comfortable stays, friendly drivers, variety of sightseeing spots and steady guidance from the teams helped them enjoy every destination at the right pace. It was a journey full of scenic moments, cultural experiences and family time, and one they would happily remember in the years ahead.

Kinnari’s Phuket Escape With Thrillophilia: A Smooth, Joyful Holiday From Start to Finish

Kinnari’s Phuket couple escape with Thrillophilia was smooth, joyful, & easy from start to finish, making every moment of the trip feel relaxed.

Thailand Reviews

Avishi Mathur

Kinnari had been looking for a tropical break that balanced relaxation with a little adventure. From the first airport pickup to the final departure, every section of the trip felt organised.

A Warm Introduction to Phuket

Upon arriving in Phuket, the private transfer arranged by Thrillophilia was already waiting. The smooth check-in at Namaka Resort gave them a peaceful beginning to their holiday. Their Premier Sea View Room offered exactly what they needed after a long journey. A bathtub, a wide view of the water and a quiet atmosphere helped them settle in comfortably.

Their first day remained simple. They walked near the beach, explored the surroundings and allowed the island’s charm to sink in. The intention was to rest, breathe and prepare for the days that followed.

The Charm of Phi Phi and Maya Bay

Day two brought the classic Phuket experience. The Phi Phi Island and Maya Bay tour allowed the couple to step into landscapes that felt almost unreal. They boarded the speedboat with a mixed group and the tour leader ensured everyone understood the timings and safety instructions. As the boat sliced across the turquoise water, limestone cliffs rose on both sides.

They admired caves, lagoons and beaches that looked picture perfect from every corner. This was one of the experiences Kinnari had added separately. The setting on the water with a special menu from the Party Pack made the dinner feel thoughtful and romantic. The restaurant team offered pleasant service, and the transfer took care of the logistical details. It was a quiet moment in their trip that added a personal touch.

A Beautiful Journey Through Phang Nga Bay

The fifth day was reserved for something many travellers consider essential when visiting Thailand. With fourteen people spread across different cities and busy schedules, the idea always felt challenging. Yet in early 2025, the family finally agreed on a destination that excited everyone. Thailand seemed perfect for a group that included elders, children and young adults. The promise of islands, food, vibrant streets and easy travel felt suitable for a long-awaited family vacation. Once the destination was set, Krishnamurthy turned to Thrillophilia to plan the journey.

The support began right from the first call. The team took the responsibility of arranging a smooth schedule for a large group seriously. Hotels, transfers and activities were matched carefully to fit the family’s comfort. When the trip date arrived, everyone felt relaxed and ready.

A Warm Start in Krabi

The family landed in Phuket on 29 April and were greeted by their private Toyota Commuter waiting to take them to Krabi. The ride was comfortable, and the children enjoyed the views outside the window. After reaching Deevana Plaza Krabi Aonang, they checked in without any delay. Everyone rested, explored the pool and gathered for an evening walk around Aonang. It felt like the perfect beginning to a holiday that had been planned with care.

Sunset Magic and Island Beauty

The second day brought an activity that became one of the highlights of the entire trip. The family joined the 7 Island Sunset Tour by speedboat. The transfer arrived on time and the group boarded without any confusion. Once on the water, the colour of the sea, the limestone cliffs and the gentle breeze made the journey special.

They visited small islands with clear water where the children played near the shore. The adults relaxed, clicked photographs and enjoyed the simple joy of being together. As the sun dropped lower, the sky turned gold and pink, and the entire group gathered on the deck to watch the changing colours.

Later at night, they entered the water to experience luminescent plankton. The soft glow around their hands and feet amazed everyone. The activity felt almost magical and became one of the most talked about memories throughout the trip. Dinner was arranged as part of the tour, and the group returned to the hotel tired but happy.

A Smooth Move to Phuket

The next morning, the family packed up and boarded their private transfer to Phuket. They explored Old Town with its colourful buildings and lively streets. They stopped for photos, walked through small shops and enjoyed fresh juice. It was a slower and more relaxed day, perfect after the long travel.

Exploring Phi Phi Island Together

The fourth day brought another big adventure. The Phi Phi Islands tour began early in the morning. The shared transfer picked them up from the hotel and took them to the marina. Once the family stepped onto the speedboat, excitement spread across the group.

They visited Maya Bay where the clear turquoise water impressed everyone. The stop at Viking Cave added a touch of history to the day. At Monkey Beach, the children laughed and pointed at the macaques moving around freely. Lunch was served during the tour and the group enjoyed the fresh food while sitting by the sea. By the time they returned to Phuket, the day felt complete with fun and activity.

A Close Encounter and a Calm Sunset

The next day began with a private visit to Tiger Kingdom. The adults interacted with the big tigers, while the children met the smallest ones under supervision. The staff guided them carefully and ensured a safe experience. The photos taken here became some of the most popular ones among the family after returning home.

In the afternoon, they travelled to Promthep Cape and the Windmill viewpoint. The cliffs, the open sky and the soft evening light created a beautiful setting. The family sat together, shared snacks and appreciated the moment. It was a calm end to an active day.

A Farewell Filled With Gratitude

On 4 May, the private transfer took the group to the airport for departure. Africa had always been on their list, a land of wild beauty and open skies. What began as a simple idea soon turned into an extraordinary journey, perfectly arranged by the team at Thrillophilia.

From the start, every detail was handled with care. Mr. Ashish and Ms. Priya from Thrillophilia designed an itinerary that balanced adventure with comfort. They ensured the best accommodations, smooth transfers, and reliable local assistance. By the time the family boarded their flight to Nairobi, they felt confident that they were in expert hands.

At the airport, they were greeted by Mr. Paul, their guide and driver for the trip. Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, he instantly made them feel at ease. His stories about Kenyan wildlife, culture, and daily life added depth to every moment that followed.

Amboseli National Park

Their first destination was Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds and clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The first glimpse of the snow-capped peak behind the vast plains left them speechless. On their game drive, they watched zebras grazing peacefully, giraffes stretching toward the treetops, and elephants walking in perfect rhythm with the landscape.

The stay at Penety Amboseli Resort was both luxurious and welcoming. The family enjoyed every moment, from warm hospitality to flavourful meals that included a variety of Indian vegetarian dishes. Evenings were peaceful, filled with quiet conversations and laughter as they recounted the day’s sightings.

The next day’s full game drive deepened their appreciation for the wild. The vehicle was clean and well maintained, the weather was pleasant, and every sighting felt magical. Paul spotted a lion resting under an acacia tree and a family of cheetahs lying in the grass. Ashit described the experience as “nature at its finest”.

Lake Nakuru National Park

The journey continued to Lake Nakuru National Park, a haven for bird lovers and home to both black and white rhinos. The drive from Amboseli to Nakuru was scenic, with views of rolling hills and small local villages. They checked into Ziwa Bush Lodge, a cosy retreat surrounded by greenery.

At Lake Nakuru, the sight of thousands of flamingos lining the shores created a pink shimmer across the water. The family was captivated by the beauty of it all. They also spotted buffalo, warthogs, and playful baboons along the trails. For Ashit’s son, Shaival, who had a keen interest in birdwatching, it was a dream come true.

Paul continued to impress them with his knowledge. He pointed out species they had never heard of and explained how the lake’s ecosystem supported such diverse wildlife. By the end of the day, the family had filled their cameras with photographs and their minds with unforgettable images.

Lake Naivasha Stopover

Before heading to Masai Mara, they spent time at Lake Naivasha. The calm waters offered a refreshing change from the excitement of the safaris. A peaceful boat ride allowed them to spot hippos resting near the surface and birds perched gracefully along the banks. They also visited Crescent Island, where they could walk freely among zebras and giraffes in an open sanctuary. It was a gentle reminder that in Kenya, nature exists in perfect harmony with those who respect it.

Masai Mara National Reserve

The highlight of their journey was Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous reserve. The family checked into Sentrim Camp, where comfort met wilderness. The tents were spacious, the staff attentive, and the meals delicious. Once again, they were delighted to find vegetarian food options that reminded them of home.

Over the next three days, they experienced the true heart of Kenya. Each game drive revealed something new. They saw elephants moving in herds, leopards resting on tree branches, and lions chasing prey across the plains. One of the most memorable moments was witnessing the reverse migration, when hundreds of buffalo moved from Serengeti to Masai Mara. It was a rare event, and they felt privileged to have seen it with their own eyes.

Every morning began early, with mist hanging over the grasslands and the sound of birds filling the air. As the sun rose, the landscape turned golden. Paul shared fascinating facts about the animals and the park’s delicate balance of life. The family listened in awe, realising that every corner of Masai Mara told a story of survival and beauty.

Meeting the Maasai People

The Shah family also visited a local Maasai village. The Maasai welcomed them with traditional dances and songs. They shared stories about their way of life and their deep connection to the land. Ashit and his family tried on traditional Maasai clothing and joined in the famous jumping dance, laughing and learning throughout the experience. It gave them a new appreciation for Kenya’s culture and traditions.

A Perfect Ending

As their journey came to an end, the family returned to Nairobi for one final night at La Maison Westlands. It was a comfortable stay and the perfect chance to rest before their flight home. They spent the evening reminiscing about their favourite moments and the people who had made the trip so special.

For Ashit, it was not just a vacation but a journey of discovery. Kenya had given his family memories that would stay with them forever. From the meticulous planning by Thrillophilia to the warmth of their guide Paul, every detail had been handled with care. The wildlife, the food, the culture, and the hospitality together created a perfect balance of excitement and comfort.

When they finally boarded their flight back to India, the Shah family felt grateful. They had seen nature at its most powerful and people at their kindest. Kenya had given them more than they expected. It was a reminder that the world still holds wonders waiting to be explored. For Ashit and his family, this was not the end of their travels but the beginning of many more adventures to come.

Read More: Thrillophilia Kenya Reviews

Alaguraja & Family’s Sri Lanka Trip with Thrillophilia: A Heartfelt Review

Alaguraja & family’s Sri Lanka journey with Thrillophilia was warm, smooth, and heartfelt, filled with caring support and memorable experiences.

Sri Lanka Reviews

Avishi Mathur

Some trips feel effortless because the right people show up at the right time. For Alaguraja and his family, their Sri Lanka vacation felt exactly like that. The country was beautiful, the places were interesting, but what stayed with them the most was the support they received from Thrillophilia.

Their point of contact, Isha, handled everything with a patience and clarity that made the family trust the process from the very beginning. Every time they needed a confirmation or had a small doubt, she responded quickly. The family felt that this combination of attention and reassurance shaped their entire experience.

Below is their journey as they remember it.

Starting the Journey: A Warm Welcome and a Simple First Day

On 29 August, the family arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport after a long flight. Their driver met them right at the arrival gate and began the drive to Kandy. The first halt was at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The family walked along the viewing areas, watching the elephants move around the sanctuary. It was their first experience in Sri Lanka and it created a soft, warm beginning to their holiday.

Once the visit ended, they continued toward Kandy and checked into Hotel Devon. The hotel offered the calm atmosphere they needed after a day of travel. Later in the evening, they stepped out again for Upper Lake Drive. The viewpoint offered a quiet moment overlooking the city, a pleasant pause before they attended the Kandyan Dance performance in town. The traditional costumes and rhythmic music added a cultural welcome to their first night in the country. They returned to their hotel feeling content with the start of their trip.

A Day That Moved Smoothly from Temples to Hill Country

The next morning, the family explored a few important sites in Kandy. From the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic to the local viewpoints, the morning felt meaningful without being tiring.

By noon, they were on their way to Nuwara Eliya. The drive climbed gradually into cooler weather and greener surroundings. Once they checked into their hotel, the mood shifted into something quieter. The family kept the rest of the day simple, giving themselves space to settle in and prepare for a longer day ahead.

Temples, Waterfalls and the Slow Beauty of the Hills

The third day turned out to be the most varied. Beginning with the Hanuman Temple and Seetha Amman Kovil, the journey moved from spiritual sites to natural ones. Ramboda Falls offered a refreshing pause. Hakgala Botanical Gardens added variety with neatly laid out spaces full of plants and colours.

It was a long day, but each stop felt different enough to hold their attention. By evening, they reached Bentota and checked into Rockside Beach Resort, where the beach air took over the mood completely.

Galle, Mirissa and a Day Full of Easy Exploration

The following morning, the family travelled toward Mirissa with a short but meaningful stop at Galle Fort. They walked through the quiet lanes, saw the lighthouse and explored the small corners around the fort. Once they reached Mirissa, the coastline brought in a different kind of energy. The views were open and bright. Parrot Rock stood tall, and the beach carried its usual relaxed atmosphere.

They returned to Bentota later that day, ending a full and satisfying outing.

Reaching Colombo and Seeing a Different Side of Sri Lanka

On the fifth day, the family left the calmer towns behind and headed toward Colombo. After checking in, they explored the city’s modern landmarks and busy streets. Lotus Tower gave them a view of Colombo from above. Pettah Floating Market added colour and movement. Gangaramaya Temple offered a quiet moment in the middle of the city.

This day brought contrast to their journey. It showed them how Sri Lanka balances old and new, calm and busy, nature and city life.

A Comfortable Departure

On their final morning, the family checked out and travelled to the airport. The representative ensured everything happened on time. Their trip came to a close without any last-minute confusion.

Looking Back at the Experience

What made the trip special for the family was not just the locations they visited. It was the support and attention they received throughout the trip. Isha stayed available, responded quickly and ensured that every part of the itinerary moved forward without complications. The family appreciated that their questions were always answered and that the support team remained active throughout the trip.

The accommodations were comfortable, the transfers were timely, and the entire trip felt organised in a way that suited their pace. They ended their journey feeling satisfied and confident that they would choose Thrillophilia again for their future travel plans. They also expressed that they would recommend the service to others looking for dependable planning and assistance.

The trip created memories they now associate with both Sri Lanka’s beauty and Thrillophilia’s care.

Read More: Thrillophilia Sri Lanka Reviews

Abhishek & Divya’s Andaman Review with Thrillophilia: A Simple, Enjoyable Escape to the Islands

Abhishek and Divya share their Andaman trip with Thrillophilia, a simple and relaxing island escape with smooth planning and memorable moments.

Andaman Reviews

Avishi Mathur

For Abhishek and Divya, this trip to Andaman was a chance to take a break from routine and spend time together somewhere peaceful. They wanted a holiday that wasn’t rushed, didn’t feel complicated and allowed them to enjoy new places comfortably. Thrillophilia became the platform they booked through, and by the end of the journey, the couple described it simply, the trip was amazing, and the local staff behaved well throughout their stay.

Their experience was not about grand expectations or intense sightseeing. It was a pleasant, steady set of days that let them explore beaches, ferry between islands and appreciate the slow rhythm of Andaman.

A Gentle Start in Port Blair

On 16 December, the couple landed in Port Blair. Their driver met them at the airport and took them to Marina Manor for check-in. The property offered a comfortable stay for the night, and after settling in, they stepped out for their first outing.

Corbyn Cove Beach was the first introduction to Andaman’s coast. The palm trees, curved coastline and soft colour of the sea gave them a quiet, refreshing moment. It wasn’t crowded, which allowed them to enjoy a peaceful hillside stretch with time to sit or walk as they liked.

Their evening visit to Cellular Jail brought a more reflective atmosphere. They attended the light and sound show, which narrated important historical events in a simple, engaging way. It was different from typical tourist attractions and added thoughtful variety to the first day.

Crossing the Water to Havelock Island

The next morning, the couple checked out and headed to Phoenix Bay Harbour. The ferry ride to Havelock offered a nice shift in scenery, and the simple journey across the water marked the beginning of the next part of their holiday.

Upon reaching Havelock, they checked into De Havelock Queen. After relaxing for a while, they left for Radhanagar Beach. Known widely for its picturesque shore, Radhanagar stood out with its broad sandy stretch and blue waters. The couple enjoyed the slow pace of the beach, taking time to walk and sit by the waves before returning to their hotel.

The day didn’t require too much planning. They appreciated that the beach visit was at the right time in the afternoon, letting them enjoy it without heat or hurry.

A Day Spent at Elephant Beach

On 18 December, the couple visited Elephant Beach. The trip involved a short ride and a small walk to reach the beachfront. Once they arrived, the scene was lively. The water at Elephant Beach is known for its clarity, and Abhishek and Divya enjoyed looking at the reef area, where colourful marine life can be seen close to the shore.

Neemo Reef was one of the key highlights. Snorkelling activities were available at an additional cost, and many travellers around them were enjoying the underwater views. It added a cheerful, active element to their day, even if they chose to simply watch rather than participate in all activities.

They left the beach with enough time to rest comfortably at the hotel, which helped maintain a relaxed rhythm through their trip.

A Sunrise, a Ferry Ride and a Quiet Evening

The next morning began early with a visit to Kalapathar Beach. Reaching the beach at sunrise allowed them to enjoy a completely different shade of Andaman. The light was soft, the breeze was pleasant, and the shore was peaceful. The couple walked along the edge without distractions, and the calm start to the day became one of the moments they remembered fondly.

After the beach visit, they checked out and boarded the ferry back to Port Blair. Upon arrival, they checked into Blu Horizon for their final night.

Later in the afternoon, they visited Chidiya Tapu. Known for its quiet corners and forested paths, the place offered a simple but refreshing end to their sightseeing. It wasn’t crowded and gave them time to enjoy nature without noise. The colours in the sky during the early evening added additional charm to the visit.

Heading Home with Good Memories

On 20 December, the couple checked out and were dropped at the airport for their flight back home. Their journey had been steady, uncomplicated and filled with pleasant experiences across Port Blair and Havelock.

Final Thoughts

Abhishek summed up the holiday in a few words: the trip was amazing, and the behaviour of the local staff was good. This reflected exactly what mattered to him and Divya as travellers. They preferred a peaceful experience, quick assistance when required and an environment where they could enjoy each day without stress.

The staff they interacted with were polite, the transfers happened on time and the places they visited offered the right mix of scenery and calmness. Each island had its own charm. Port Blair gave them history and beaches, Havelock offered picturesque shores, and Elephant Beach added a slightly adventurous touch.

Abhishek and Divya returned with memories of quiet walks, ferry rides, long coastlines and helpful staff who were present whenever needed. Their Andaman trip turned out to be a simple, enjoyable escape, exactly what they were looking for.

Read More: Thrillophilia Andaman Reviews
